Akaushi is a form of Red Wagyu beef with many health benefits including lowering cholesterol, preventing coronary heart disease, and weight loss. These are the outcomes of containing a higher concentration of monounsaturated fat compared to saturated fat. Akaushi meat has a high fat content meaning less muscle fiber and collagen created beef that is notably tender compared to other breeds. Not to mention, it has a high amount of oleic acid giving it the deep, buttery taste and texture!
